November 19 – Sixty firefighters battle and isolate an early morning industrial fire at the UPCO manufacturing facility. The fire causes extensive structural damage to the west side of the building. The entire manufacturing floor is affected by smoke and water damage

November 20 – BELFOR deploys equipment and 150 technicians to the UPCO site to handle the demolition of burned areas; shrink wrap exposed areas; replace the roof; dry, dehumidify and do detailed structural cleaning; corrosion control; smoke/odor removal; temporary office construction; inventory of salvageable finished goods; and, machinery restoration.
