Hurricane Milton has rapidly intensified into a Category 5 storm and is expected to bring severe storm surge, destructive winds, and flooding to the western Gulf Coast. This storm is expected to make landfall near Bradenton, Florida early Thursday morning and now is the time to prepare. 

This is a difficult message to share, especially with so many communities across the Southeast still recovering from Hurricane Helene.
