As the world’s largest restoration and reinstatement company, BELFOR is committed not only to making buildings and machines usable again after damage but also to preserving the basis of life for future generations. Our business model is fundamentally sustainable, as restoration is typically more resource-efficient than new purchases or construction. However, we aim to go beyond this by minimising environmental impact in our repair processes.
On the Right Track On-Site
In our operations, we strive to reduce our environmental impact. This begins with using the most energy-efficient dryers and extends to employing environmentally friendly sanitising agents. For instance, the BELFOR 360° DamageScan technology minimises the need for repeated site visits, thereby reducing energy consumption and our carbon footprint.
And in Your Own Home
We are also advancing sustainability in our locations and internal processes. Flexible working arrangements and digital tools are cutting CO2 emissions by reducing travel and paper use. Additionally, we are progressively implementing an electric fleet, with our Scandinavian branches already leading with nearly 100% electric vehicle usage on the path to CO2 neutrality.

Our commitment extends beyond climate and environmental protection. We prioritise economic sustainability to ensure long-term job security through responsible business practices. We are also dedicated to complying with laws and regulations in all markets where we operate.
Good Today, Even Better Tomorrow
Looking ahead, we plan to become fully CO2-neutral. We are currently measuring our total annual CO2 emissions, which will be certified and used as a benchmark for reducing emissions in the future. One effective measure is the gradual installation of PV systems at our branches to sustainably power our buildings and electric vehicles.
